New Neighborhoods’ mission is to provide hope and opportunity through development and management of quality affordable housing and resident-centered services. We have also made it our mission to extend our services to our community and lend a hand when and where it is needed.
Due to the recent pandemic the Police, Fire, EMS and Emergency Room Workers at the hospitals have had the difficult task of being on the front lines, dealing firsthand with the impact from the COVID-19 virus. We could not get through this pandemic without the service of these dedicated first responders.
On Thursday, June 11th and Friday, June 12th, in appreciation of everyone here at New Neighborhoods including our staff, board, and our 750 tenants, New Neighborhoods delivered 300 free lunches to these first responders located at the Stamford Hospital, the Stamford Police Department Regions 1, 2, & 3, the Belltown Volunteer Fire Station, the West Side Fire Station, the South End Fire Station, the Central Fire Station, and to the Stamford EMS team.
New Neighborhoods is proud to have all thesededicated, professional individuals in our community that have been putting themselves and their families at risk to help those in need here in Stamford and throughout Fairfield County.
This is just a small gesture from us to say thank you and to show how much you are appreciated, especially during the most difficult of times. We would like to thank and recognize Stamford
Mayor David Martin, for his continued support to our first responders, and for his time as he joined us in the delivering of these lunches. We would also like to thank Casa Villa, Mexican Restaurant located at 182 West Main St., Scottie’s Fish & Chips, Jamaican Restaurant located at 70 Smith St., and their staff for working hard in preparing these lunches and
discounting the cost of the meals for this program. Much Appreciated!
The biggest thank you however, goes out to the first responders who have put everything on the line to keep us safe and healthy. We know it has not been an easy task and we are in gratitude of your service. Thank You!
