Resident upgrades

House rules for New Neighborhood facilities are important as tenant guidelines and provide direction for staff. Those guidelines also help minimize friction amongst tenants or between management and tenants. In addition, New Neighborhoods is dedicated to creating an environment that encourages healthy lifestyle choices. Our new house rules help create a cleaner and safer environment with a focus on education, health, wellness, and nutrition. As an example, with our new smoke detector tool we can ensure all resident buildings are smoke-free.
Our new house rules complement the rehabilitation of our resident buildings. Over the past year, New Neighborhoods’ has been dedicated to upgrading all facilities with a special focus on our residential buildings. Many of our residential buildings have new roofing, floors, and boiler systems.
Here at New Neighborhoods, we work together to ensure residents have all the resources they need by hosting events like our Winter Warm-Up, an event dedicated to providing residents with basic winter necessities. Not to mention, our reach is beyond the New Neighborhoods’ community. During the summer months, our summer meal program provides breakfast and lunch free of charge to New Neighborhoods and local residents, age 18 and under. This year we are ramping up our efforts to grow our Summer Meals program up from 5,800 meals provided to 17,400. Our food pantry allows us to serve the greater community by providing over 35,000 meals.
