Cheers to the First Annual Stamford Brew & Whiskey Festival

(Stamford, CT) – Folks from around the Fairfield County region flooded into the Stamford Brew and Whiskey Festival at Harbor Point in Stamford on Thursday, September 14th, 2017.
Beer and whiskey lovers came from Southern Connecticut and New York to enjoy fine local food, craft beer, whiskey and other spirit samples. Event goers participated in boardwalk games and danced to NYC street band, The Secret Recipe (Receta Secreta).
MC for the night, DJ Robbie from Reps 4 Vets kept the energy up throughout the night. Even the Mayor of Stamford, David Martin stated, “This is great. I’m just here to have a good time.”
The Stamford Brew and Whiskey Festival is the annual fundraiser for the local non-profit affordable housing developer, New Neighborhoods, Incorporated (NNI). Altogether, NNI raised over $35K for the night. Funds raised will go towards building more senior housing in the Fairfield Country region.
“We couldn’t be happier with the result. It surpassed our expectations. We hope the festival continues to grow each year to further NNI’s mission to increase affordable housing,” stated Andrell Yarbrough, NNI’s Interim CEO and Director of Operations.
